Studio

The heart of Maddox Visual is our commercial studio. The studio was built from the ground up for photography. The studio measures 28' x 54' with 16' ceilings and can easily contain large items such as cars or boats. Our studio has many special features highlighted below.

Cyc Wall

Our main shooting stage has a full cove or cyc wall. What's that? It means that the floor curves up to the wall with no seams. Our cyc wall encompasses the entire back wall, and then wraps up both side walls creating a seamless cove. This creates an invisible background perfect for shooting large items that need to be keyed out, or creating dynamic background lighting effects. Our cyc wall is usually white, but can be easily painted to meet your needs. With the wall painted green it offers an excellent way to do green screen for video.

Lighting Grid

The studio is equipped with a large lighting grid suspended from the ceiling. This grid covers the entire shooting area and allows lights or modifiers to be positioned anywhere. The grid can be raised or lowered with the push of a button, maximizing efficiency. Common uses for the grid have been; suspending background lights, hanging giant reflectors and suspending cameras for over the top shots.

Turntable

The studio houses a 7' turntable for creating object tours. This turntable is unique because it allows us to place large objects on it such as motorcycles, appliances, and even small cars. The turntable is also excellent for video as it can be rotated at varying speeds. Some amazing effects can be achieved by letting objects rotate on the turntable while filming them. Equipment

Without the right equipment a studio is just another building. And with a studio like ours it needs lots of equipment. The studio is fully equipped with lighting, light modifiers, grip equipment, backdrops and anything else you can think of that helps create images. We have a large selection of strobes as well as continuous tungsten lighting to meet any need.

Outside Shooting

Not only do we have an incredible studio but we also have an incredible piece of property! We are blessed to live on 42 acres just 10 minutes from Jacksonville and Medford. This is where the studio is housed and allows us to be able to shoot inside and out. The property offers many shooting possibilities outside, with over an acre of groomed lawn with mature trees, a large bass pond, large pastures and forestland, along with barns and great evening sun!. Many of our projects include shooting inside the studio and on the property somewhere.
